SPACEBLOB (Prod121-Group 2c)
If audiences are attracted to 2D platform space exploration games like Mario, Celeste, and Metroid, then they’ll absolutely cherish SpaceBlob. Based on these outer space platform games, SpaceBlob invites players into an immersive world where they get to explore this dark and mysterious planet they’ve been spawned into.
Twilo, our adorable space blob who was born from a black hole, is suddenly placed in a wasteland galaxy called Vegalon. Vegalon is ruled by Soloren, a universal god who grows and feeds on the force of stars. Twilo sets out on a mission to save the remaining stars, freeing and hopefully giving life back to the galaxy that they now call home.

4. What creative remix changes did you make? How can we find them?
We added cute animated stars that the player has to collect. Platform alterations to fit our theme. Background visuals that suit the concept. Essentially making the world and galaxy that Twillo lives in a convincing reality.
5. Any assets used that you didn't create yourself?

6. Did you receive help from anyone outside this class or from anyone in this class that is not in a group with you?
Kelso - Coding queries. Bree - Coding queries. The teaching assistants helped us hugely with the technical making of our game. Inside of workshop & LAB hours we would use their aid to further improve the code of our game and make it functional.

8. Did you get help from any Extractive AI Code or Art Assistants?
There was absolutely no AI usage in the making of our game.
9. What trouble did you have with this project?
PNG & Piskel files stopped working early in development for the player sprite sheet. Game completely breaking, having to go back into an earlier save. Unresponsive teammates. Changes from the original game we had in mind, due to time, team, and stress restrictions we changed our entire vision for the game and decided to go for a sole platformer instead of a hybrid platformer with a combat system.
10. Is there anything else we should know?
No.
